New Database Available - IDC

IDC provides market intelligence covering the information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology markets. IDC reports contain analysis to help IT professionals, business executives, and the investment community make fact-based decisions on technology purchases and business strategy. More than 1,100 IDC analysts provide global, regional, and local expertise on technology and industry opportunities and trends in over 110 countries worldwide.

IDC can be accessed on the Library's A-Z Database page.

IDC is available is via UM login for current faculty, students and staff of the Ann Arbor, Flint and Dearborn campuses.

Kresge Library is on the Move! (Again)

Starting this Friday, July 22, Kresge Library Services will be on the move to our newly renovated space on the 4th floor of the Kresge Building! The Library will open to the Ross Community on September 6, 2016. 

Until then: 

Research Assistance is Still Available

Exam and Assignment Program will continue at the Kresge Annex at the Law School
  • Hours at the Annex are Monday-Thursday 1pm to 5pm
  • These services will be available through July 29th.

Course Material Availability
  • Students will be able to purchase or access their digital course material beginning on August 22nd.
  • Fall semester TEXTPAK pickups by students will not be available until the first day of classes on September 6th.  
  • Some early accommodations can be made.  If needed, please contact kresge_learn@umich.edu.

Interlibrary Loan and MLibrary requests
  • Michigan Library pickup (Inter-library loan and requests from the main collection) at the Ross Modular will be suspended until early Fall Term.  In the interim, Faculty and students may request that books be picked up at Hatcher Library

Kresge 5th Annual Food Drive

Join Kresge Library Services for our 5th springtime food drive for Washtenaw County food banks. 
From Wednesday April 13th  through Friday, June 10, the Kresge Library Services will be collecting non-perishable food items and other personal products at the Reference desk in the modular buildings. The offices are open from 8am-5pm.  Please help us by donating:
  • Non-perishable food products
  • Contained in factory-sealed containers
  • Currently not expired products
  • Not in glass containers (most food banks avoid these as they can break in transit)All donation are greatly appreciated!

Brand Share-of-Market Data now Available in Sports Business Research Network

Kresge Library has just purchased access to the SBRnet Brand Share-of-Market reports covering the 15 leading consumer product categories frequently involved in sport sponsorship. Share-of-market not only dictates the marketer’s overall strategy when deciding whether to sponsor a sport altogether; it also strongly influences their choice of broadcast, social and print media used to activate a sponsorship.

ProQuest Service Outage

On Saturday March 12, 2016, ProQuest will be installing critical firmware updates to its systems infrastructure. The window is scheduled to begin at 10:00 PM EDT and will last for eight (8) hours.
Users attempting to access these products during the downtime will be re-directed to a web page explaining the scheduled maintenance. Please contact ProQuest Global Technical Support if you have questions or need assistance.

Avention is now OneSource - with a New Interface

Avention, the company information database, has changed its name back to OneSource. You may remember the last time it changed. The database name has been in effect for a few weeks. The new interface will launch on March 11.

This interface is dashboard based and gives you quick access to the most common types of searches available in OneSource. These new search forms provide access to all of the variables available for each type of search on the screen. No more hidden filters, you set your options and then search.

OneSource can be found on the A-Z Database page and is available to all UM users and Ross Alumni.
