The Kresge Course Materials team has made a few changes that we hope will help keep

students and faculty members safe this Fall. You can find all the details on our webpage

closed the TEXTPAK delivery point in Kresge Hall. To obtain their TEXTPAKs,

Our page (https://tinyurl.com/rosscoursepacks) has more details on shipping

    and locations.

  • A Course Materials Chat Service: If you’d like to ask us how to purchase,

access, or ship your course materials, please give our new Course Materials

Chat service a try. Just visit our webpage (https://tinyurl.com/rosscoursepacks)

and type your question in the Chat box. We’ll be available from 10:00AM to 4:00PM,

Monday through Friday. We also welcome questions at kresge_learn@umich.edu.

Spring/Summer TEXTPAK Availability

Spring and Spring/Summer course materials will be published the week of April 20. There may be slight delays in publication as Kresge Learning Support staff work to put new processes in place, but you will receive a Canvas announcement when your course’s materials are accessible. If you’d like to be sure you don’t miss that announcement, please update your Canvas settings.

Digital course materials will be accessible, as usual, through the StudyNet tool in your Canvas course site. Printed course materials, called TEXTPAKs, are also still available for purchase. As you know, the COVID-19 pandemic has required the closure of the Ross campus and restricted TEXTPAK pickup options. To ensure that you can still receive TEXTPAKs, we are working with the University of Michigan’s Print/Copy/Mail service to provide free shipping on all TEXTPAKs through USPS Priority Mail (for US addresses) and UPS Worldship (for international addresses) during the Spring/Summer terms. We hope this will be helpful to you!

If you would like a printed TEXTPAK, please be sure to:
  • Purchase it a little earlier than you usually would, to allow time for any shipping delays, and
  • Enter the correct shipping address, or the address to which you would like the TEXTPAK delivered, when prompted during the ordering process. (For example, if you have remained on campus, please enter your “campus address;” if you have returned home, please enter your “permanent address”.)
Please contact us at kresge_learn@umich.edu if there is any way we can help.

Kresge Library Services Update (Research Assistance, Digital Only Service Points & Food Drive)

As we approach the end of the second week of Winter B Term, we want to stop and check in with everyone as we absorb all the changes that are circling around us.

Getting Help with Research
We have expanded our hours for chat and email reference for the Ross Community.
  • We are now available everyday through the end of the Winter Term from 9am to 9pm.
  • You may reach us via chat on our home page and our guides.
  • You may also reach us via email to kresge_library@umich.edu.

Closing all face-to-face service points
  • Following guidance from the CDC and the University, we are closing all face-to-face service points for the immediate future.
  • Exams and assignments have either been returned to faculty or are being held in the library for later distribution.
  • If you have purchased a TEXTPAK and did not pick it up, we will be working on issuing a refund for that purchase.
  • If you have any questions, you may email us at kresge_learn@umich.edu

Kresge Food Drive Continues
  • We are delivering this morning all the food collected thus far to Saline Area Social Services.
  • We are continuing to collect food and personal products - people need them more than ever.
  • Boxes are at the Tappan Street entrance and in the Kresge Suite (K4521).

We will provide updates as we have them.  We hope that we can still provide support for the Ross Community while ensuring that we keep a safe environment for the entire Ross Community.

Study.Net Access Problems (Online Course Readings) - Update (3/16/2020 9:00am)

We have been notified that our provider for electronic access to Harvard Cases and other licensed material (Study.Net) has been subject to a web attack.  The problem (from what we have been told by officials at the company) has been resolved and we expected access restored yesterday the 15th. It may not be fully up until later today (March 16th).

We will be getting files to post in Canvas in the interim and hope to have that done on March 16th.

All WRDS Cloud grid jobs -- both batch and interactive -- will be terminated. Please plan your research accordingly!
