Kresge Library - Service Interruption (Friday September 17th) & Public Desk Move

Kresge Library Services will be closed for in-person services on Friday, September 17th for the moving of the Kresge Learning Services and reference desk. The new location will be at K4511, on the left side down at the end of the hallway that flows from Blau Hall and the elevators. In person reference is expected to resume Monday, September 20 in the new location.

PrivCo Maintenence

Tonight (8/30) at 8:00 PM (EST) | 5:00 PM (PST), PrivCo has scheduled down time for approximately 3 hours.  PrivCo infrastructure and platform will be undergoing an upgrade during this time.

During this maintenance window, the PrivCo platform will be inaccessible.  All operations around the platform will resume immediately after the maintenance window.

Kresge Library Remote Access Interruption - Monday August 23

 

On Monday August 23 between 4pm - 8pm, the Kresge Library's proxy server is scheduled to undergo maintenance and upgrade. 

There will be two periods of downtime during the maintenance window lasting no longer than 15 minutes each. 

During this time, you may be unable to connect to the Kresge Library databases using the Ross User links. If you receive an error message, please try to connect again after 15 minutes. UM User links will remain functional during the maintenance.

New Library Search Feature Now Available

 

The search functionality on the Kresge Library website has been updated to use the new UM Library Search service. The Library Search allows users to search across content from a wide variety of resources available to the entire campus, including resources that were available through the previous Kresge Library search feature.

When using the search boxes on the Kresge Library website, users will now be directed to the Library Search interface. From there, users will be able to access results from the UM Library Catalog,  see articles related to their search, and find relevant databases and online journals, including those subscribed to by Kresge Library.

Kresge Reference Hours Update

 

Winter semester reference hours will end this week on Thursday. There will be no reference services on Friday, April 30 or Monday, May 3.

Spring/Summer term Reference will begin Tuesday, May 4. Reference services will be available via chat and email Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.

Change in Reference Hours Tuesday, March 9th - Wednesday, March 10th

 Kresge reference will be unavailable Tuesday March 9, 2021 and Wednesday March 10th 2021.  Please use the Contact Us form for any reference related questions during this time.

ProQuest Databases Maintenance, January 30, 2021

ProQuest will be taking up to an eight-hour maintenance window beginning Saturday, January 30 at 10:00 PM ET and ending Sunday, January 31 at 6:00 am.

During this maintenance window, all databases on the ProQuest platform will experience some downtime. This includes ABI/Inform and Ebook Central. If you encounter access issues to any ProQuest databases during this window, please try again after the maintenance is complete.
